The Funding & Capital Markets Specialist supports the Bank's funding diversification strategy and acts as a subject matter expert within the Asset & Liability Management function for funding and capital markets activities.
Working closely with the Director ALM, the successful candidate will contribute to the development and execution of the Bank's funding strategy, coordinate funding-related projects and transactions, and maintain relationships with investors, key market participants and external stakeholders.
This is a hands-on specialist role intended for a professional with several years of relevant experience who wishes to remain closely involved in execution, analysis and transaction management while further developing expertise in wholesale funding, securitization and capital markets.
Your Role:
Duties and Responsibilities
Funding & Capital Markets Activities
Support the development and execution of the Bank's wholesale funding activities.
Contribute to funding transactions and funding-related projects across a range of funding instruments and structures.
Support the development and execution of funding initiatives, including securitization-related activities.
Assist in maintaining funding documentation, governance frameworks and related processes.
Coordinate funding-related workstreams and ensure timely delivery of key milestones.Funding
Strategy & Market Analysis
Monitor developments in funding markets, fixed income markets and capital markets.
Analyze funding alternatives and their impact on the Bank's balance sheet, liquidity profile and funding costs.
Support the preparation of funding plans and funding recommendations.
Monitor peer funding activity, investor demand and market trends.
Prepare market intelligence and analytical materials for senior management.
Stakeholder Management
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders involved in funding and capital markets activities.
Support interactions with investors, arrangers, legal advisors, rating agencies and other market participants.
Prepare materials for management discussions and external engagements.
Act as a central point of coordination for funding-related initiatives.
Governance & Reporting
Support the preparation of ALCO materials relating to funding and capital markets activities.
Assist in maintaining relevant policies, procedures and internal frameworks.
Ensure accurate and timely reporting relating to funding activities and transactions.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of funding-related processes and controls.
Risk & Control
Ensure activities are conducted within approved risk appetite, regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Monitor relevant regulatory and market developments affecting funding activities.

Skills/Qualifications
Strong understanding of fixed income markets and bank funding instruments.
Knowledge of wholesale funding structures and capital markets transactions.
Understanding of debt issuance processes and investor-driven funding products.
Familiarity with securitization and structured funding concepts is highly desirable.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and workstreams simultaneously.
Education and Experience
University degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, Mathematics or a related discipline.
5-10 years of professional experience.
Relevant experience within Treasury Funding, Wholesale Funding, Structured Funding, Capital Markets Funding or Debt Capital Markets activities within a bank or financial institution.
Experience supporting funding transactions, funding programmes, securitization initiatives or other capital markets activities is preferred.
