Eligibility:

Being a Student:

Our internship program is open to undergraduate and graduate students pursuing degrees in finance, economics, business, IT, or related fields.
To be eligible for the program, you must be currently enrolled in an educational program.
University Requirements:

If you have EU citizenship, your enrollment can be in any university. However, if you are a non-EU student, you should be enrolled in an educational program at one of the Dutch universities to be eligible for this program.
Language Proficiency:

Proficiency in English is required, and knowledge of Dutch or other language is a plus but not mandatory

Duration:

Internships typically range from 6 to 9 months, with flexible start dates to accommodate your academic schedule.

Employment after internship

We nurture our young talents. As a result, we do not typically hire young professionals from the external job market; instead, we prefer to hire from our pool of interns.

Completing my internship at Garanti BBVA International was a dynamic and enriching experience. I worked within the treasury services department where I gained a practical look and experience into a wide range of treasury functions including the processing of money market and FX deals. This was invaluable experience as part of my studies which has encouraged me to pursue finance further. I enjoyed the work culture at GBI including the monthly drinks, the intern meetings and the end of year event which exceeded my expectations. I also majorly benefitted from the mentorship and guidance of those in my team including my fellow interns who were always available to offer assistance and who made the job more enjoyable. Overall, I am grateful for this internship experience and hope to cross paths with GBI and those I met in my time here in the future!
