We are looking for an experienced and driven professional to join our Financial Control & Reporting team. In this role, you will coordinate Group reporting to key stakeholders, ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data, and contribute to strengthening the Bank’s control and reporting framework.
Your role:
The Financial Control and Reporting department (FCR) is responsible for the preparation of all financial reporting to the stakeholders of the bank (e.g. DNB, , BBVA, etc.) under the relevant accounting standards. On a daily basis FC monitors and reviews the development in the financials of the bank and performs control and review procedures on the core accounting system. The Financial control department advises on the implementation of new products, is involved in testing the implementation of enhancements/upgrades on the core accounting system. The Finance department also involves projects within the Bank. The Financial Controller is mainly responsible for preparing and the coordination the Group Reporting to TGB and BBVA. He/she will assist in increasing the efficiency in financial reporting processes. As a member of the financial control team he/she will participate in the daily control processes and maintenance of the core accounting system and coordinates all projects in FCR.
Key Responsibilities:
Implementation of accounting changes and accounting Data Quality Control
Coordination and communication with IT regarding core system changes
Set-up and implementation of new core system functionality, reports and projects within the bank
Strengthening the control function on daily/periodic accounting processes Have an understanding of global banking environment and banking products i.e. corporate lending, trade finance, treasury products
Have an understanding of hedge accounting, ECL, and capital requirement calculations Implementation of new reporting requirements
Ensure data accuracy, consistency and reconciliation across different systems and reporting sources
Respond to senior management requests with clear, well-structured analyses and presentations Preparation of, Annual Report, Semiannual and Quarterly Financials, Year-end Closing and Bookings Coordination and reconciliation of reporting towards various stakeholders (DNB, BBVA)Branch coordination activities;
Supporting of all audit manners

Skills/Qualifications:
Required Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in Financial Control within the banking sector or a comparable financial services environment.
Experience in bank audits within a Big Four firm is considered a strong advantage.
Technical & Regulatory Expertise
Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
Advanced analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret, challenge, and clearly articulate complex financial and management information.
Proficient in MS Excel; solid working knowledge of MS Access, SQL, and VBA.
High degree of accuracy, structure, and attention to detail.
Leadership & Strategic Capabilities
Demonstrated ability to provide direction and contribute to strategic vision.
Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
Internationally oriented with an understanding of cross-border financial environments.
Personal Effectiveness & Work Style
Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong ownership mentality.
Strong problem-solving skills with proven implementation capability.

Education:
Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.
(A Bachelor’s degree combined with substantial relevant experience may be considered.)Strong academic foundation in:

Banking & Financial Institutions
Risk Management and Regulatory Frameworks
Preferred Qualifications
Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent.

Banking regulations and supervisory standards
