Your role
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) department is mainly responsible with monitoring the Bank and Business lines activities, to prepare, analyze and share their financials and analyticals with Management team and stakeholders periodically. FPA is also responsible of Budget and Strategic Planning functions of the Bank and participates analysis of new product or new business launch process.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Budgeting:
- Lead and support the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
- Partner with business units to develop and consolidate financial plans aligned with strategic goals.
Profitability & Performance Reporting:
- Prepare and analyze segment-level and customer-level profitability reports.
- Track performance metrics including RORC (Return on Risk Capital), cost-to-income ratios, and other KPIs.
- Deliver insights to support product and segment profitability decisions.
Business Analysis & Decision Support:
- Provide analytical support for new initiatives, business cases, and investment decisions.
- Conduct variance analysis and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Data Management & Reporting Automation:
- Maintain and improve data systems and models used for financial reporting.
- Develop dashboards and reports using Excel, Access, SQL, or other BI tools to enhance data visualization and accessibility.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with business heads, finance teams, and IT to ensure accurate data flows and reporting integrity.
- Support senior management with presentations and ad hoc analysis.

Skills/Qualifications
Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (macros, pivot tables, formulas) and MS Access.
- Strong working knowledge of SQL for data extraction and manipulation
- Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) and financial modelling will be an advantage.
Functional Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of banking products
- Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, segment reporting, and customer profitability analysis.
- Experience in calculating Return on Risk Capital (RORC) and related performance metrics.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Excellent command of English (verbally and written); preferably Turkish
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Project Management skills
- Strong “Pro-active, can-do” mentality;
- International orientated
- Team player
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- Professional qualifications (CA, CFA, MBA) preferred
- 7+ years of experience in FP&A or financial analysis, preferably in the banking sector.
