Vendor Manager
We seek a skilled Vendor Manager with expertise in vendor relations, third-party risk, and compliance (DORA, EBA). Strong in contracts, performance, and strategy alignment.
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Vendor Manager with a strong background in vendor management, third-party risk management, and vendor performance management. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with industry regulations (in-depth knowledge of the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) and the European Banking Authority (EBA) outsourcing guidelines) reviewing and negotiating contracts, and optimizing vendor performance to align with the company’s strategic goals
Your role:
Key Responsibilities:

Vendor Management & Relationship Building:
- Lead the end-to-end vendor management process, including sourcing, onboarding, and evaluating vendors.
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key vendors and suppliers to ensure optimal service delivery and value for the organization.
- Oversee the end-to-end vendor management process, from selection and onboarding to performance monitoring and contract renewal/termination.
- Manage the vendor negotiation process and ensure contracts align with business needs and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., procurement, legal, IT, compliance) to ensure alignment on vendor management objectives and performance.
- Act as the main point of contact for vendors, resolving issues promptly and efficiently.
- Monitor and assess vendor performance, ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs), key performance indicators (KPIs), and business objectives.
- Implement and track performance improvement initiatives and collaborate with vendors to address performance gaps or issues.
- Produce regular performance reports for stakeholders, highlighting key metrics, trends, and any areas of concern.

Compliance with Regulation:
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) and EBA outsourcing guidelines, across all vendor relationships.
- Keep up-to-date with regulatory changes and industry trends, ensuring the organization remains compliant with evolving requirements.
- Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures to manage outsourcing risks in line with DORA and EBA guidelines.
- Implement and oversee governance processes to maintain compliance, mitigate risks, and safeguard operational resilience across the supply chain.
- Provide guidance on DORA compliance in the context of vendor risk management, data protection, and operational continuity.
- Work closely with internal legal, risk, and compliance teams to ensure vendors meet all required regulatory standards

Contract Management & Review:
- Oversee the drafting, negotiation, and execution of contracts with vendors, ensuring alignment with business needs and compliance with internal policies.
- Conduct comprehensive contract reviews to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement processes for tracking contract terms, renewals, and amendments to ensure timely compliance and reduce business disruptions.
- Collaborate with legal teams to ensure contracts reflect all necessary legal and regulatory requirements.

Third-Party Risk Management:
- Implement a robust vendor risk management framework to ensure vendor risks are continuously monitored and mitigated.
- Identify and assess third-party risks (operational, financial, regulatory, reputational) associated with vendors and ensure robust mitigation strategies are in place.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and reviews of vendor relationships to ensure compliance with internal policies, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Ensure all third-party risk management activities are documented, tracked, and reported to senior management

Reporting & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of vendor performance, contracts, compliance audits, and risk assessments.
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership regarding vendor performance, compliance status, and risk mitigation efforts.
- Create reports on vendor-related metrics, compliance issues, and areas for continuous improvement.
- Address vendor-related issues, including operational disruptions, compliance concerns, and performance failures.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in the vendor management process to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and risk mitigation.

Skills/Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in vendor management, third-party management, contract management, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) and European Banking Authority (EBA) outsourcing guidelines and its implications for third-party and vendor management.
- Proven experience in contract negotiation, drafting, and review, with the ability to assess risks and ensure legal compliance.
- Strong understanding of third-party risk management frameworks and best practices.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact with both internal stakeholders and external vendors effectively.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Familiarity with contract management software and vendor management platforms.
Preferred Skills:
- Certifications in Vendor Management, Contract Management, or Risk Management (e.g., CPM, CSM, CRMP).
- Experience in financial services or regulated industries preferred.
- Knowledge of relevant risk management frameworks, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Proficient in vendor management software and tools (e.g., procurement platforms, risk management systems).
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Law, or related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
