As a Product Owner specializing in Payments, Instant Payments and Order Execution processes, you will play a pivotal role in designing, delivering, and optimizing payment solutions that enable seamless, real-time financial transactions. You will own the product backlog, align business needs with technical solutions, and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and compliant payment functionalities. Your work ensures that our payments platform delivers exceptional value to customers while meeting regulatory and market requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Backlog & Development Management:
- Prioritize and manage the product backlog with a specific focus on instant payments, payment systems, order execution, nostro tool.
- Translate business needs into detailed user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria tailored to the payment/order execution domain.
- Collaborate with development teams to deliver high-priority features on time and within sprints.
Payment-Specific Product Vision & Strategy:
- Define a clear vision for the product, ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic goals and customer expectations.
- Develop and maintain a product roadmap focused on instant payments, cross-border transactions, and payment gateways.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Partner with internal stakeholders (e.g., compliance, finance, and operations) to align on payment requirements.
- Engage with external partners, such as payment service providers, banks, and fintech vendors, to integrate innovative solutions.
Compliance and Security:
- Ensure all payment functionalities meet regulatory standards (e.g., PSD2, SEPA, AML/KYC).
- Collaborate with security teams to maintain data protection and fraud prevention measures.
Customer-Centric Development:
- Conduct research to understand user needs, market trends, and competitive offerings.
- Continuously gather feedback from end-users to improve the user experience.
Delivery and Monitoring:
- Oversee all stages of payment product creation, from design to deployment, ensuring the delivery of real-time and reliable payment solutions.
- Monitor product performance metrics such as transaction success rates, processing times, and user satisfaction.
- Evaluate and optimize team velocity and sprint outcomes.
Agile Leadership:
- Lead Scrum ceremonies, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Work closely with the development team to ensure alignment on sprint goals and delivery timelines.
Innovation in Payments:
- Stay updated on the latest trends in payments
- Identify opportunities for integrating emerging technologies to enhance payment experiences.

Skills/Qualifications:
- Payments Expertise: Strong understanding of payment systems, including instant payments (SEPA Instant, SWIFT GPI, RTP, TARGET2) and cross-border transactions.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with financial regulations such as PSD2, AML, KYC, and payment security standards.
- Technical Acumen: Experience with APIs, payment gateways, and system integrations related to payment processing.
- Agile Product Management: Expertise in Agile methodologies, backlog management, and sprint delivery.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Strong ability to work with diverse teams, including developers, compliance, and external payment providers.
